As Art Director, you will be the creative force behind the visual development of an unannounced future project. You'll establish the game's aesthetic, set visual design standards, and ensure that every asset aligns with the overall vision. Your expertise in stylization, lighting, and post-processing effects will create an unforgettable atmosphere and mood that captivates our players.

Location: Fully Remote

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the game's visual style guide, ensuring a cohesive visual experience across all game assets.

• Lead and manage art outsourcing teams, overseeing the production process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality assets.

• Conduct daily reviews of art assets to maintain artistic quality and coherence with the game's vision.

• Apply advanced knowledge of lighting techniques and post-processing effects to enhance the game's visual atmosphere.

• Set and manage polygon and texture budgets to ensure optimal performance in Unity, balancing stunning visuals with smooth gameplay.

• Collaborate closely with the game development team to ensure cohesion between art and design teams, contributing to an integrated and engaging player experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Art Director or Lead Artist in the gaming industry, with a portfolio showcasing multiple shipped titles, especially those that are heavily stylized and in 3D.

• Expertise in managing art teams and outsourcing partners, with a track record of meeting project milestones.

• Deep understanding of lighting techniques, color theory, and post-processing effects to achieve specific visual goals.

• Proficiency in setting and managing art production budgets, with a keen eye for optimizing performance in Unity.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards a shared creative vision.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow across departments.
