Senior Game Programmer
SB Games is currently seeking a Senior Programmer to join our team for the development of an unannounced multiplayer RPG. We utilize Unity in conjunction with a next-generation world simulation engine, which has undergone over a decade of development. This dynamic pairing enables us to rapidly iterate on game content and systems, fostering an exciting and fast-paced development environment.
The ideal candidate possesses a proactive attitude and a willingness to immerse themselves in our extensive codebase. They should demonstrate self-starting abilities, capable of identifying and resolving issues independently. Given our small team structure, a successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the automation and deployment of the game across both client and server platforms. A keen aptitude for DevOps tasks is essential.
Location: Fully Remote
Qualifications:
Proficient in tackling challenges across both client and server sides.
Expertise in C#, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Proficiency in Unity game engine development.
Familiarity with AWS services or one of the major cloud providers.
Experience using Python or similar languages for automation/utility scripts.
Comfortable utilizing ChatGPT or similar LLMs to enhance productivity.
Ability to work within a Linux environment.
Previous involvement in multiple released titles.
Preferred Experience:
Understanding of Lua scripting language.
Experience with NGUI in Unity.
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience in deploying and managing multiplayer online games in a production environment.
